Greg Vinnicombe

Greg was a founding member and Chair of the Yorkshire Solution Focused Brief Therapy Group and over the past five years he has lectured in Solution Focused Brief Therapy at several Yorkshire universities. He is a qualified social worker and holds an MA in Child Protection. He has been employed as a front-line worker and manager in the private, public and voluntary sectors and is currently employed as a manager in the NHS. Predominantly his work over the past 20 years has been with children and families. For the past two years he has worked in the area of parental substance misuse during which time he conducted a six-month solution focused project for staff and managers on an acute adult in-patient ward.
Since becoming aware of SFBT eight years ago, Greg has applied this in his daily contact with clients and staff members. Additionally, he has also provided training and consultancy in SFBT for front-line practitioners and managers working with a variety of client groups including children and parents and adults experiencing difficulties with substance misuse or mental health problems.
