Youth Violence Towards Parents and Other Family Members
A One Day Presentation and Workshop - 12 June 2012
YODA is a community-based volunteer diversion programme for 17-25 year olds charged with a domestic violence assault against a non-intimate family member. YODA attempts to increase non-offending behaviours through a three phase programme which uses solution focused interventions. A full evaluation of the programme is available on the website below.
During the day Dr Peter Lehmann (University of Texas at Arlington) will provide an introduction and overview of this pioneering work with young offenders and their families, followed by practice and networking opportunities.
